Located in Durham, NC, Capital Cakes has become one of the most popular bakeries in the area since opening in 2017. Katelyn Johnson, owner and pastry chef, has been in the food industry for 17 years and created thousands of cakes as well as taught pastry and culinary arts at The Chefs Academy for 5 years. Capital Cakes specializes in cakes for every occasion such as weddings, groom, birthdays, and any other monumental event. They also make custom cupcakes and cookies that can match your event. Not a cake person or looking to do a dessert table? Many other desserts options are also available, do not hesitate to ask. They also teach culinary and pastry classes one on one or as a group for parties or team building.
