How do I place an order?

To place an order, please fill out the form located here or call (919)504-CAKE(2253) or email capitalcakesnc@gmail.com. If we do not pick up, please be sure to leave a message with your name, number, date of event, and guest count so that we can promptly call you back to discuss your order.

May I order a custom cake or cupcakes?

Yes! Capital Cakes specializes in custom cakes. We can create a cake or cupcakes to match any party or theme. We offer buttercream tinting, sprinkles in every color of the rainbow, fondant decorating, and hand painting. If you would like to discuss a custom order, please call (919)504-2253

How far in advance do I need to place my order?

We highly recommend placing your order as soon as you know what you would like. Especially if it is custom. We do appreciate at least 1 week for most advance orders, although some weekends and holidays book to capacity up to three weeks in advance. We will always try to accommodate last minute orders, but we may be fully booked.

There is a rush fee charged if an order is placed within 3 days of an event.

How should I store cakes that are not eaten the same day I pick them up?

For the freshest most delicious confection, please enjoy it on the same day it is delivered or picked up. If you have cake you would like to save until the next day, store them in an airtight container or wrap the box in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator unless instructed not to do so. If you do not have a box, cover the exposed cake portion in plastic wrap, then wrap the entire cake. To maintain the freshness, flavor, and beauty, never store your remaining cakes in a hot location or outdoors for more than 4 hours or less depending on temperature and humidity.
